Be uplifted in your spirit, empowered by the Word of God and encouraged by the testimonies of known and unknown people who boldly tell the story of what God is doing in their lives. Every week Jenna-Leigh is joined by someone ready to overcome by the word of their testimony and help others overcome struggles that they might still be facing (Rev. 12:10-11). On Elevated we’ve had people who have been healed from cancer, those who found wholeness in Christ after tremendous heartache and pain and even those who had a supernatural encounter with God on their journey. Actors, musicians, pastors, mothers, drug addicts, prisoners, internationally acclaimed speakers, ex-gangsters and many more testify of how God has elevated them. The testimonies of guests might differ but the source of their breakthrough is the same – God. During the Elevation Message of the Day, Jenna-Leigh reflects on a thought that is based on the Word of God. The aim of the message is always to uplift you, give you courage for the next step and to grow your capacity. Combine all of this with some inspirational music and you’ve got a recipe for “Elevated”. The vision of the programme is that every listener will be elevated to go to their next level in their walk with Christ, their faith and receive hope.

09:00Saturday

Saterag Samesyn (pronounced without a ‘d’) is a programme with a focus on community. The programme is jumpstarted with a meaningful motivational insert to recharge the batteries after a long week, followed by a very informative slot during which medical professionals answer listeners’ submitted questions relating to health issues. A slot reserved for job opportunities follows and focus on some jobs on offer as well as bursary and internship opportunities. A community news slot highlights local events, submitted by listeners, and shares relevant events found on the various social media platforms. The tempo continues during the last hour with interviews about and with those doing extraordinary things in their respective communities. A tasty food segment gives the feel of a "live in the kitchen atmosphere", introducing new recipes each week that listeners are encouraged to try out. Catering for the many book lovers, a selected book review adds another interesting book to the bookshelves, which is followed by courageous listeners reading their poetry on air. The programme is concluded each week with an incredibly interesting insert that looks at the meaning of a certain Afrikaans idiom and where it originated from. The name of the programme says it all. Samesyn suggests ubuntu in the diversity that the programme offers. This, together with the authenticity of the presenter maintaining fond and likeable interaction with the audience, has achieved the “local is lekker” flavour for people from all walks of life.

There is never a dull moment when 180 Degrees is on air. You can expect soothing and vibrant local and international music during the programme, which consists of several segments. It is kick-started with What’s Down In Cape Town? This segment details various community and youth events in the “Mother City” and surrounding areas. It is followed by the Groovy Movie segment, during which an extract from a movie is played. This allows listeners to interact with the presenters as they try to figure out which movie is being referred to. 180 Degrees also includes interesting and to-the-point interviews that address different topics each week; from fundraisers and events to difficult issues, like dealing with teenage pregnancy or dealing with infants whose lives are affected by FADS. Voice of Change

18:00Saturday

18:00Saturday

Vulnerability in itself is an act of courage. Few aspire to vulnerability and authenticity in the presence of faceless strangers. “Voice of Change” covers current social justice issues tugging at the world’s conscience. It addresses these issues head-on, but with vulnerability and authenticity at its core. It is produced for a millennial audience with deep roots in the Christian faith who are seeking real conversations, answers and real change. Topics described as the “elephants in the room”, such as the abuse of men, postpartum depression, menstrual health for the homeless, the great white saviour complex, persecution based on gender or religion and the pain of motherhood are but some examples of the waters the show navigates.

On iThemba Anele pastors alternate each week in presenting the programme with the aim to instill iThemba (hope) in God’s people. The show includes relevant and entertaining conversations about pastor’s kids, or PK’s, as they are known. It delves into the PK narrative and the judgement and expectations the church has for PK’s. Some PK's, their families, friends and church members join the programme for fascinating conversation. A panel discussion allows all views to be shared. The programme also touches on the music industry. We have a look at what is happening behind the scenes by interviewing drummers, pianists, composers, producers, music managers, promoters, publishers, organisations and associations. Join Anele and his guest on iThemba for your weekly dose of hope.
