“Maretha Maartens was born in 1945. She and her hospital chaplain husband, the Rev. Hennie Maartens, live in Bloemfontein. They have two daughters and five grandchildren. Maretha is the author of approximately 1000 newspaper and magazine articles, many short stories and 160 published biblical, biographical and general novels, drama texts, youth stories, children’s books and spiritual works.”
